Fix Automatic Disconnects from WHM & cPanel

The fix is simply changing an option in the settings of WHM. To do this, log into WHM and find the “Tweak Settings” option on the left sidebar. This defaults to strict. You will want to set it to disabled and then scroll down and hit the “Save” button. This will stop the automatic disconnects you are receiving from WHM.

The cpanel.config

The /var/cpanel/cpanel.config file stores settings for WHM’s Tweak Settings interface (WHM >> Home >> Server Configuration >> Tweak Settings).

Cached values

To improve performance, the system caches the /var/cpanel/cpanel.config file’s settings in the /var/cpanel/cpanel.config.cache file. This file updates each time that the /var/cpanel/cpanel.config file updates, to keep the cached settings up-to-date.
